I might have found something....

I saw a commercial for eDiets.com. So I went to the website, answered some questions. The result, they recommended a Glycemic diet. I will be doing some reading on this and trying it as well. I want to see if it makes a difference and can I fit it into my lifestyle of working ten hours days, coming home late. Meanwhile, I will furnish the link so you can read about on your own

So far so good.....

Okay it has been it's four days. So far so good. I have been sticking to 600-1000 calorie plan. It getting easier to manage. I started using the food diary that was given to me by Dr. Terracina. I keep it in my purse. I was weighed today I am down from 282 to 270. I weighed myself at the gym and I thought it was a fluke. However I went to the doctor's office and there it was.

Also I have found there are some things you can actually eat and keep under the 1000 calorie marker. The one that surprised me was Thai food. I ate the Tum Yum Goong soup (44 cal), the healthy steam rolls (194 cal) and a papaya salad (112 cal) and I was waaay under the marker. I only eat half could so the I saved the rest for dinner.

I did make a some boo boos however. One was hibachi grill lunch, OMG !!!! I didn't realize how high in calories that was. The other was the Starbuck's Frappucino light, NOT it was 310 calories. I did drink the diet coke. Which is a big no no in the WLS world.

Which brings me to my next point. I wanted to find drinks and sweetness that did not have aspartame. I did some web searches and found one. Crystal light now has new line of products called "fitness." The fitness mix DOES NOT have aspartame. So I quickly bought 3 boxes of it. It was different, it does have a slight after taste but not as bad as aspartame.

I also wanted to stop using sugar in my coffee and tea and also not be tempted to get ANY more diet soda. I also picked up these new bottled drinks as well. So what I did was purchased the stevia and truvia sweetener packets. I was thoroughly impressed with both of them. On Sunday I will be showing those product in my weekly video, so stay tuned!!!!

As you can see I have changed the look of the blog. I like it, but I did lose my "followers" function with the new template. So for those that I beat over the head to follow the blog I apologize whole heartedly. So to remedy that I would appreciate comments when you visit. That way I know SOMEONE OUT THERE IS READING THIS!!! I didn't want to crowd the blog to much stuff. Although, I did add some widgets and gadgets to the blog such as the Amazon widget and the blogroll to name a few of the additions.

WELL THAT IS IT FOR NOW !!!!!!!!

Calories

I started Saturday on reducing the calories in my diet. I am really trying to keep it simple. I know if I complicate matters I will get discouraged. I am attempting to keep my calories limited to 600-1000. Saturday I went over I was so mad. On Saturday I took in 1089 calories and Sunday I took in 960 calories. Now, I have been keeping a food log I put it in my purse. That does help but I really want to stress keeping it simple.

It is simply amazing to watch what you put in your mouth without a second thought. I had to plan out every move I made. I have to learn to step back and don't be rushed into anything. Like yesterday, we went to Starbucks. Now Starbucks has a of making a frappucino where you can consume less calories. What did I do, make the worst possible choice and it cost me 320 calories. So that meant I would have to eat less to for that 1000 calorie goal for today. Haven't started exercising yet. One thing I can say though is it felt great no to vomit for once.

I know that was gross, but the Lap band and Gastic Bypass folks know what I am talking about.

Signing off good nite.

A special thank you to those who have stopped by and read the blog. Also big hugz to those that are now following my blog and leaving comments.

Hello, My Name is Sharon and I Have Fallen Off the Wagon!!!!

Hello,

My name is Sharon.  I had the Lap Band Surgery January 14, 2010.  I have lost 13 pounds so far.  I know a measly 13 pounds.  I have officially fallen off the wagon, if you will.  I didn't want to tell people I got the surgery because I am such a poor reflection of it.  So I am going to do something sooo new.

This is what I am going to do.  For the next two years I will document my weight loss on this blog.  I know this is very ambitious.  Maybe I am having a delusion of grandeur moment. All I know is I will give it the old college try.  I want to help myself of course.  I also want to help other who have fallen like me to pick ourselves up and be successful.

WELCOME TO MY JOURNEY!!!! FEEL FREE TO LEAVE COMMENTS AND FEEDBACK!!!!!!!
